Hales Hall Barn is a fabulous venue at Lodden in Norfolk. Couples booking at this popular Norfolk wedding venue will find a beautiful old house, immaculately kept grounds and the largest barn I have ever seen! It really is a spectacular property and the ideal place to hold a wedding reception. When planning the photography for the day, I found the wedding planning team of Emily and Briony also extremely helpful and professional from start to finish.

Harriet and Joe were blessed with one of this summer’s beautiful warm and sunny days. Harriet had been meticulous in her planning and so the morning was relaxed and went very smoothly. Her beautiful Lis Simon dress was from Lavender and Jude and her flowers, in cool whites and greens with a hint of lavender blue, were created by Claire at Bright and Beautiful Flowers.

They had chosen a church ceremony first at the nearby village church and the guests were treated to both a string quartet and a very accomplished soloist during the service. Back at Hales Hall, the quartet played under the shade of a cedar tree whilst the guests happily enjoyed the sunshine and the gin and elderflower cocktails!

Inside the pleasantly cooler great barn, the gin theme continued with different botanical brands playing a part in the table decorations. Instead of the usual tiered wedding cake, Harriet and Joe had chosen to have a fabulously decadent pillar of pretty pastel coloured macaroons which I can assure you were absolutely delicious!
