One of the benefits of having built up a solid network of Suffolk wedding photographer colleagues is the ability to be able to step in and help in an emergency. This was the case just after Christmas, when another local wedding photographer became snowed in up in Yorkshire and many miles away from the Suffolk wedding she was booked to cover. I had 24 hours notice to take her place.
And so,I only met Gillian on the morning of her wedding, but there was immediately an easy rapport with this delightful bride as she got ready at home with her three bridesmaids. Gillian works for a designer fashion label, and it was clear that attention to detail was very important to her. The whole day was beautifully organised making it a very calm and pleasurable experience for everyone involved.
After a lovely service in Boxted Church, there was just a few minutes to take a set of images of the couple, almost obscured by the freezing fog in the churchyard, before we headed back to the welcoming warmth of the lovely wedding venue, Le Talbooth restaurant for the reception.
