I was really looking forward to Rosanna and Oliver’s  Suffolk marquee wedding near Bury St Edmunds at the end of August. This charming couple had invited a large number of guests, many local Suffolk people and friends across all ages. Rosanna got ready at her father’s beautiful house and was well attended by four bridesmaids, flower girl and page boy. She looked so beautiful in an exquisite ivory cream dress overlaid with lace and a stunning antique veil.

Over at the nearby village church, the guests were arriving with the sea of smart morning suits punctuated by some stunning colourful outfits. The ushers were kept busy with an endless stream of arrivals and were soon joined by the very handsome groom, Oliver, arriving with his brother who was his Best Man.

I wasn’t allowed to photograph during most of the ceremony but in these few images below, you can see how beautifully the simple white interior of the church was decorated with generous arrangements of blue and white flowers. There were readings by both Rosanna and Oliver’s fathers and a big cheer went up as the new Mr and Mrs D sealed their marriage with a kiss!I love this image below of Rosanna’s uncle and aunt sitting at the front of the church and the little cheeky glances their two boys are giving them.Champagne and canapes were served out on the lawn at Rosanna’s family home. This sociable family’s wedding day was very much about the people they had chosen to share the day with and I was spoilt for choice with a sea of friendly, animated and characterful guests to shoot!

I had a few moments to take the couple a little way away from the party and capture some romantic pictures for them using the beautiful setting of the farm and rolling Suffolk landscape and then everyone moved into the marquee for the speeches, cutting of the cake and more champagne…

There are some weddings you really don’t want to have to leave but with another long wedding the next day, I took a couple of my scene setting ‘leaving shots’ and left them all to party on into the night. If you were a guest at this wedding:
